Dr. Artress grew up in Smyrna, in a medical household. As a child she dreamed of becoming a physician, “just like my father, who considered it a privilege to practice medicine.”

After graduating from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in California, she completed her residency in family practice at Hinsdale Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, and is board certified in family practice. Dr. Artress has earned her Fellowship with the American Academy of Family Practice and has served as a delegate in the Georgia Academy of Family Practice. She was also elected to membership in Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society upon completion of medical school.

Dr. Artress’ philosophy emulates her desire to practice medicine with a family-centered approach. “My goal is to encourage healthy lifestyles for the entire family, and to view the patient as a partner in working towards better health.”

She is married and they have four boys.
